Finding a place to wash a semi, an RV, or any oversized vehicle in Manhattan is not easy. Most car washes are built for cars and pickups, and a big rig simply will not fit. Willie’s Car Wash is the exception.
Our East location on McCall Road has two large truck bays, the only bays in Manhattan built to take 18-wheelers and oversized vehicles. If it is too big for every other wash in town, it probably fits at Willie’s.
Where the truck bays are
The truck bays are at Willie’s East, 480 McCall Rd, Manhattan, KS 66502, just off US-24 on the east side of town. This is also where our office is, so there is someone on site if you have questions.
What fits in the truck bays
The bays are sized for vehicles that other washes turn away:
- Semis and 18-wheelers
- Box trucks and delivery vans
- RVs and campers
- Trailers and oversized work vehicles
If you are not sure your vehicle will fit, stop by the office at the East location or call 785.776.9124 and ask. We would rather you check first than make the trip for nothing.
How the self-serve truck wash works
The truck bays are self-serve, so you stay in control of the wash and you only pay for the time you use:
- Wash starts at $3.00, then $0.75 per minute.
- Pay with cash (bills and quarters), credit card, or the Willie’s app.
- Bay settings include foam brush, presoak, high-pressure soap, high-pressure rinse, spot-free rinse, wax, and tire and engine cleaner.
Take your time on the tough spots, rinse it clean, and finish with a spot-free rinse so it dries without water spots.
Trailer washouts
Need to wash out a trailer? Trailer washouts are allowed at the self-serve bays only, not the automatic bays. Bring it to a self-serve bay at the East location and you can rinse it out the same way you wash the exterior.
