The story lives at our locations.
Founded in 2002 as a reliable neighborhood partner, Willie’s started with one lot on McCall Road and a simple idea: treat every car and every neighbor right.
Tom Abbott founded Willie’s Car Wash back in 2002 with the goal of bringing a neighborhood car wash to the community he grew up in. Tom is a longtime Manhattan neighbor whose care for this community runs deeper than washing cars: he has been a big part of taking care of this town, proudly supports Kansas State University, and plays a real role in local philanthropy. That same drive for best-in-class service lives in Willie’s, from the wash itself, to bringing in the best touchless wash technology, to building an easy-to-use app so customers can handle all their car wash needs right from their phone. You will find Tom at almost any K-State football game in the fall, or you might run into him at one of his weekly dinner spots like Rock-A-Belly’s, Taco Lucha, or The Little Grill.

Where it started. The first bays and the office at 480 McCall Rd.
The east-side regulars who told their neighbors built everything Willie’s became.
West Side of Manhattan, KS
Westport Drive
The west side asked, and Willie’s answered: a second location on Westport Drive.
With the addition of detailing services, this is a service other car wash chains have not brought to Manhattan.

Why the names?
Powercat, Purple Power, Wildcat, Willie.
This is Manhattan: the town bleeds purple on game day. The plan names are a tip of the cap to K-State and to the city that built this business. The top tier earned the Powercat name; the starter plan carries ours.
